Kyoshi Cezar Borkowski, National Director, is an 8th Degree Black Belt with more than thirty years experience studying, researching and teaching martial arts. In 1972, he established Northern Karate - one of the most successful and well-respected martial arts educational organizations in the world.

Kyoshi Borkowski is also the International Director of the Ryu Kyu No Kaze Society, which is dedicated to the preservation and propagation of traditional martial arts, and Director of Karate for the World Kobudo Federation, the largest global, multi-discipline martial arts organization.

As a former internationally-ranked competitor, Kyoshi was Six-Time Canadian Champion. He was rated #1 by the Northern American Sport Karate Association and Professional Karate League, and has received hundreds of awards, trophies and medals. Furthermore, he trained numerous champions, is recipient of the Martial Arts Magazine's Coach of the Year award and has been named Instructor of the Year by both the Ontario Karate Circuit and National Black Belt League (NBL).

In addition to dozens of articles for a variety of martial arts publications, Kyoshi Borkowski authored "Modern Shotokan Karate" and co-authored "The Complete Idiots Guide to Martial Arts". He also researched and edited the "History and Traditions of Okinawan Martial Arts".

His videotape credits include "Kobudo Weapons", "Winning Point" and the"Essential Okinawan Kobudo" series. Kyoshi Borkowski has been featured in newspapers, magazines and on radio and television. He lectures on a wide range of martial arts and related topics at events around the world.
